Need hotel block near Larkfield Manor!

Hi everyone

I'm getting married at the Larkfield manor. I've been looking for hotel blocks near it but I find myself being super picky about everything! Trip advisor is making me question every hotel!

Basically, I want a hotel with a bar that we can use for an after party.. and a shuttle to/from the venue.
(and also I don't want it to be a dump either!)

Does anyone have any suggestions??
Thanks for your help.

YAY another larkfield bride!

we picked wingate in commack/ brentwood. that time of year you wont smell the mulch (i'm sure you've read the reviews)-- you may be able to rent a private room for a couple hundred if you furnish the booze/ afterparty? we are considering this for the next morning breakfast... not sure if can do late night.

holiday inn doesnt have a bar,has a shuttle, a bit rundown (smelled like smoke) but has a pool

hampton is nice but no bar, no shuttle, has a pool-- closest thing to a restaurant with the diner in walking distance

sheraton was nice with the bar/ restaurant. but rooms are crappy and you dont get comp'd til like 50 rooms. NOT ROOM NIGHTS! plus no shuttle.

Need hotel block near Larkfield Manor!

Thank you so much for the info Lauren!
Its hard for me to get out there to go see all these hotels (I live in Brooklyn and don't have a car!)
Windgate IS one of my top choices... so they have a shuttle, but no bar?

no problem!

yes they have shuttle, no bar-- but nowhere really has a bar and a shuttle that we could find. you could always get a bus (schoolbus) for cheap from what i've heard if you choose somewhere with a bar. but then you are looking at woodbury/melville/islandia hotels (they have bars)

Need hotel block near Larkfield Manor!

I'm looking forward to seeing it when it's actually done so I can start envisioning my decor and centerpieces and whatnot! I'm not sure why, I'm still having a hard time deciding on a hotel. I think I might just go with the Hampton Inn.

Need hotel block near Larkfield Manor!

Hello Ladies,
I just received a call from Wingate saying that they are closing their hotel in Commack as of April 15th. They will honor any reservations or blocks at the Plainview hotel.

WOW thats sad news! I drive past it every Tuesday on my way from work to class and never see anyone in the parking lot so i'm not terribly surprised...

Need hotel block near Larkfield Manor!

Hi, So Im going to try calling Plainview, the Hyatt, and the Sheraton to see if I can get some information because I need to book my Hotel block that is my next check. I really want a bar and a shuttle, but if i had to choose i would prefer the bar that will stay open late. If I discover any helpful information I will post.
