What about where you got the navel ring from? I'm sure they carry extras.

Teri I still have an indentation where mine was, and I took it out about 8 years ago!

Yeah, I figured I'd definitely have a small scar or mark there for life, but let's face it, the older I guess, the less likely I am to wear a bikini or show off my belly in any way, so does it really matter?!

I just hope it doesn't take too long for the hole to close up...I'd hate to get it infected. For now, I have it covered with a bandage just to make sure it stays clean.

I took mine out, for good, over 5 years ago the scar still hasn't faded or gotten any smaller....
I'm sad to say I think it's there to stay....

you can go back to a tatto/piercing place and have them take it out - thats what i did. I had the same type as you and I couldn't get it out - that and I was to scared to try too long!
