Thanks. Consider it added to my EVER-expanding list. Good thing I didn't have to try this many guys out before finding my FH!
If you would to see pics of the Manor East, let me know and I can show you some of my proofs.

If you want less of the catering hall feel, check out Westbury Manor. That's why we fell in love with, plus they have a beautiful outdoor area. Fox Hollow has the same feeling. Both are owned by Scotto Bros who are known for great food! Our guests are getting a choice of 7 entrees.

I actually am very fond of the Woodbury CC. Not too far out and they have beautiful grounds. The food is very good too. I just went there for New Years eve.

I'm looking at about 100-110, with about 10 kids.
George Washington Manor may be better than the Milleridge for that number of guests. Milleridge has two buildings; the cottage, which needs a minimum of 150 and the carriage house, which has a maximum around 120 (whatever the maximum is, it's a firm, aka, fire code issue, maximum).

Re: New Girl needs help with halls!
Food was the #1 thing we were looking for in a hall. I would check out the Larkfield Manor. The food is AMAZING! We couldn't find a better menu, and were guaranteed that we would love the food or we'd get our deposit back.We took some picky people to our tasting, including my grandmother (who's from Italy, and HATES eating in restaurants), and she loved it and couldn't say a bad word about it.
If you're looking for great food, then I wouldn't pass this place up!

I agree, the grounds are gorgeous! I don't know about the food. Woodbury CC was our second choice!

Swan Club is very close to the nassau/queens border, but kind of off the beaten track from any highways or major roads. Their grounds are absolutely stunning though!! I can't wait to see your pictures Kathleen. Even though its in a year in a half....

Re: New Girl needs help with halls!
My friend, who also posts on this site, is getting married at the Swan Club in September. She's very excited about it. She and I have so much in common- I figured I'd let her have this one all to herself, so I won't consider Swan Club- I'll just enjoy it at HER wedding, which is before mine. Thanks for your tips though. Everyone has been helpful.

The max for the Carriage house is 130 - this was a serious contender for us, so I was very aware of the numbers there.

I vote for Fox Hollow. I live in Queens and also wanted a place that isn't too far for my family. It is beautiful. I posted pictures of it on the Fox Hollow thread. I am getting married in January and got a really good price. The food is great and the rooms are so cozy feeling. Definitely check it out!
