I COULDN'T have a strapless dress because I had to cover a tattoo between my shoulder blades. TO be honest, I dont like strapless things for myself. My bridal taste is rather unconventionalespecially when it comes to the dress. For example, I do not want to see one ounce of white or tulle at the wedding. No white flowers, no draped white tulle on the pews, no white chuppah cover NOTHING WHITE. My dress, as much as it looks 'bridal' is NOT white but rather PEARL and no it is NOT strapless, but it is still BACKLESS! Seek and ye shall find. Go to a bridal salon where they have more of a variety or even consider having your dress made. Some of the brides here have done that at rather reasonable costs.

You can add straps or sleeves to almost every single dress - so don't rule out 'the one' just b/c it's strapless.

This is true... when I was at Adriennes in Islip, they had straps that they would hold up for you. I also tried on a few dresses with straps.
I always said- no strapless- I wanted tank sleeves.
But after I tried them on, I got a strapless dress!

Most dress come with straps, so if you want to the girls can put them on.. I did that for 2-3 weddings i was in..

Hi Girls,

I'm also looking to go 'non-strapless'. I am looking for an off-the-shoulder look probably with a dropped waist. I saw the perfect dress (tank style, dropped waist) - Demetrios #9609. Would love to have that dress...its out of my budget

but if I could only 'the one' that will not break the bank
