Congrats!!I worked as a teller a few years ago. I wasn't too crazy about it....the bank was really pushing the tellers to sell products to the customers and such. I was an excellent teller but I'm not big on sales, lol. Nevertheless, I didn't stay there too long.
I think it really depends on the bank. I've been to other banks and the tellers aren't pushy or annoying with sales.

I started as a bank teller. It was one of my favorite jobs. I made the best friends, that I still keep in touch with 4 years later. I still work at the bank and have gotten a few promotions, so it's a great place to start! Congratulations!!

betsy i'm already not working black friday because i'll be in disney world (woo hoo!!) but yeah thats something i'll look forward to every year haha.

bay shore...i'm still there...i'll be there probably till after the holidays cuz i'm one of the 'important' people there and i dont want them to freak out by losing me during the busy times haha...im so nice...they're so lucky haha

thanks betsy!! i will i will!! i've been looking forward to it for a veeeery looong time. i actually have 2 weeks off from michaels...but i think my manager messed up the weeks cuz hes stupid haha so oh well for him!! hahahahaha i just really dont care anymore :)

Congratulations! I work at a bank and I started as a teller. It's a great job and there's lots of room for advancement. In my opinion the best part of being a teller is the FOOD. We LOVE to eat baby.And at the holidays the customers give you TONS of crap. We seriously have snacks till the summer from all the stuff the customers give us.
