I have had a leep procedure - it is actually a lot more common than you might think but my dr said i might have a hard time carrying a baby because my cervix is weak

this is one of my biggest fears

I was told at 14 that I probably will never have kids. I have major problems with my period but they have never really stated a diagnosis. Its breaks my heart that I will never have my own children. We have started looking at our options with adoption. Also I have 2 of my students that I am their guardian if anything happens to their parents. I think about this topic daily.

I don't know if I will have issues and I do not care to know. Everything happens for a reason and I will let it all take course and happen in its own time. I don't want to take too much time worrying about something I cannot control. I'll let it all happen naturally

Wow, this is an amazing thread. I too have this fear that I will not get pregnant. No real reason to have it as i've never been diagnosed with anything. Maybe its just one of those female things, It's in our biological makeup to want to reproduce so we stress over it so much because we do find it so IMPORTANT!

and here I thought I was alone in this fear.. comforting to know that it may be natural.

I always had problems with my period too... they would not come, or they wuld come and last for weeks... no one fcould give me a diagnosis, but I did have doctors tell me I'd have problems getting pregnant.

I don't know how they can know that without a diagnosis. Once I was diagnosed with endo, I had numerous doctors tell me I either would have no problem, or might have difficulties that should be easily fixed. Everyone seems to have a diferent opinion, so don't assume it won't happen for you!

Wow...I never thought that so many young people had the same issues as me. We all have so much more in common than I ever thought.
Thank you for sharing..it's made a very bad subject not feel so horrible knowing I am not alone.

i had the exact same thing and my dr. told me to let whatever dr i'm using at the time know about it because they can put a sutcher on my cervix to help strengthen it.
i am still super nervous though that the procedure may cause an issue

I know this can be a very personal question so don't worry if you don't feel comfortable answering...But I was wondering if there is Anyone out here like myself that is diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome or a similar diagnose? Granted I have a 12 year old daughter however I since have had many health issues that have come up and I found out that I have PCOS as well as a few other infertility issues.
Is anyone else going through this? Have you started to see a specialist yet? Just wanted to see if I was alone on this one..

i do not have any known conditions but i have a big fear that things will not be easy. i have two aunts, one on my moms side & one on my dads side, who where never able to have children so i think that's what scares me most. also since all of my friends & my brother & SIL never had an problems while TTC its always in the back of my mind that FH & i will have problems.
