I totally agree! I work for an association so we get a ton of benefits and I actually make decent money for a non-profit. I'm most definitely underworked which is why I'm on this site all day.

I love my job for the hours and that it's not demanding. I love the money too. It definitely came in handy for the wedding.

I actually kinda like my job. I work 5 min from my house. I get excellent benefits. I am in the union....which gives even more benefits. And the money isn't that bad. I would like more though.

I do NOT love my job, but I love the paycheck. I've been doing this for almost 20 years and I know if I were to start doing something different now, I'd have to take like a $20K paycut. Cannot afford to do that.

My job drives me crazy. I guess it's not the profession as much as the place I'm working in now. Sometimes it's hard to get up in the morning and go. Hence me sitting here at 6:45 in the morning on LIW instead of getting ready for work. I don't want to be too specific, but let's just say the pay is decent and I get summers off.

I like my job and get paid well, but not well enough to live the way I want to here on LI, unfortunately - I feel like I'll never get out of the debt I am in.... and forget about ever owning a home - my child is just going to know one rented place after another...

I don't make a decent salary by any means, but a)I work part time while going to school full time and b) I LOVE my job.

I'm getting my masters in teaching, so I hear you about the good jobs being hard to come by. I guess it goes with every field of work. And I worry about being able to make it on LI too. It's hard.

I completely HATE my job. (Not my profession, but where I work) And the money stinks too. I'm trying so hard to find another place to work. But my DH loves his job, so I make peace with it.

i completely know how you feel - btw student loans and the wedding. . . i would have to make over six figures to get out of debt!
