Well.....sad sad news...

Peter got approved to come home......

Oh his way back from one of the missions, they got attacked, and got set back. He missed his flight by two hours.

The flights only leave from where he is to Kuwait once every couple of days. The next one does not leave until Saturday...which would put him in NY on Monday. The wake was yesterday and today, burial on Saturday.

They told him he could still come, but he decided by the time he gets there, most of the family will be gone. He really wanted to be with his family. I tried to tell him he could still come for closure or to be with his stepmom during this time, but he's not. He's pretty upset, and frustrated, all of which are normal considering the situation.

So..I sent a couple of sprays to the funeral home in Bayside from us. And I e mailed them a nice pic of Pete, they framed it and have it at the wake.

We'll be paying our respects when he comes home, I feel bad for him, but its life I guess.

So, not the best news....but the good news is that Pete is alright....Oh my ,...this has turned into a novel!!!! Thanks for listening to me vent and praying for me ladies. Your prayers are what keep him safe and I am very grateful!

Now...on to some happy wedding posting...

I hear these things about his missions and I think I'm gonna die of anxiety....but I know in my heart he'll be home. Thanks for your good wishes

I am relieved he's ok more than anything. I'm sorry you guys had to miss your goodbyes to Grandpa, but think of it as another angel watching over the both of you!!!! This whole thing was sad, but you have a keen way of keeping your spirits high. I commend you for that Nina!!!
