Re: NWR: Howard Stern

There have been times when I had to change the station - just like with anything, sometimes I'm just not into thinks like chicks puking on guys for sexual pleasure, or the abuse stuff. And yes, being a behavior consultant for peolpe with developmental disabilities, I change the channel for a lot of the stuff where he has them do stuff... I like when he gets political - he makes some good points - AND - just take a look at this thread - the man IS controvertial!!! This was his goal from day one - and here we are on a wedding site talking it up on him!!!!

LOL I was dragged to midtown yesterday in the rain because FH is a big fan. It was kinda scary as alot of guys were really drunk in the crowd. It was a wild scene...

Re: NWR: Howard Stern

Yah, the stuff that goes on is really sick. And I would never want to be one of those girls that goes on that show and acts like a total bimbo. But, I do get laughs from it. And sometimes I think maybe it has some value. I have a friend who is sometimes so stiff and formal but somehow he started to listen to Stern and he has loosened up so much!

Re: NWR: Howard Stern

I was a Howard fan- didn't always like what he did and got bored sometimes but had to stop listening a few months ago when all he did was whine about the FCC- I understand that he was mad and maybe wanted to be kicked off of the air so he'd be free of his contract but it got boring.

Honestly, I don't have major problems with what he does on the show but it belongs on satellite, not broadcast radio- now everyone can be happy.

I lost too much respect for him when he was too busy kissing up to Michael Moore to criticize even one aspect of Far 9/11 which even my most liberal Political Science Professors thought has flaws and misleading elements. I guess the enemy of my enemy is my friend but I had to stop listening. I have XM and won't be following Howard but wish him well and hope he goes back to being entertaining again...I just won't be there to listen...at least not for a while.

He isn't what he portrays himself to be tho and those women doing disgusting acts are doing so of their own choice! People should actually listen before criticizing what they don't know.

Wow! Is this post still alive? I thought it plummeted to its death at the well of veils and invitation questions...

LOL

I liked it when he went on about the FCC - I liked his political stuff better than his silly stuff...

I liked when he would discuss politics and he wasn't being so one-sided. I understand that there really isn't any way he couldn't be one-sided on the FCC topic but on other topics he saw through the junk and got to the points that most politicians wouldn't/couldn't say...there is a valid argument that his former time slot wasn't the most appropriate for his show- but I never sided with those that thought he shouldn't be on the air...

I'm glad that satellite radio exists, now we'll see what he would have done on KROCK if given the leeway...

Re: NWR: Howard Stern

For 12.95 sirius, is amazing, the stations that you get are unbelievable, I've had it for over a year now and you dont even noticed the 13 bucks, its just a whole new way to hear music on the radio, theres channels designated to specific types of music, so you can only listen to what you like, or if you like everything u got sooo many channels...howard or no howard its really worth it!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: NWR: Howard Stern

I hardly listened to him on KRock but do love watching his show on E, I think he's hysterical. My DH is a HUGE, HUGE fan and is in the process of getting sirius so he can listen to Howard.

Re: NWR: Howard Stern

I'm getting FH Sirius this weekend as a late Xmas / Anniversary gift. I know he loves his Howard Stern (and I laugh at the show all the time) and plus he hates commercials!! So it's the best thing ever!!

(That and it bites when driving through some parts of LI you lose signals of some radio stations!! No more!!)

I got Sirius for Christmas and so far I love it. Have not had a chance to listen to all the stations but there are so many... and they are commercial free. Definitely will be nice on road trips.
