I am so sorry to hear about your grandfathers passing - my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It is nice to know that, nonetheless, he was such a big part of your life.

Just like everyone else, my thoughts are with you.

I am the oldest of the grandchildren (I was born when my mom was 17 too) and practically raised by my Pop Pop my entire childhood. There was never a more important man in my life. I lost him to lung cancer several years ago after a long battle. It's a wound that still hurts in my heart. I always thought he'd walk me down the aisle, so his absence will hurt on my wedding day too.

I know exactly how you feel, nothing we can say on here will take away your pain, except maybe knowing that this is a place you can turn to for support.

Be strong and remember to feel blessed for the time you shared with him, not upset for the time you won't.
