one of the worst school districts for kids or future kids... this is actually something I researched for a year for one of my internships for my masters in social work, so its legit one of the top five worst from my research
i grew up like 8 blocks from roosevelt(in uniondale my whole life)..and this is so true..stay away from that whole area in general it's getting worse and worse over the years

I live walking distance from Roosevelt - my church is actually located there (not where I am getting married though). It's not the prettiest of places to live - I live in Baldwin, and it used to be nice, but its starting to get pretty shady around here too.

i lived in Lindenhurst too for a year (yea i get around). i lived in the village and want to buy a house there. i absolutely loved it.....very quiet, quaint, tree lined streets, etc, etc. taxes are lower too b/c its an incorporated village. I've heard rough things about North Lindenhurst though and again there's a difference in appearance of neighborhood and houses.
Massapequa i always hear is $$ to buy but i guess it depends on which part...Massapequa or Massapequa Park.
Out of the 3 i'd say either Lindy or Mass. 1 is Nassau though and the other Suffolk if that makes a difference

what about North Babylon??
I grew up on the south side of North Babylon & live here now with FH. I loved growing up in the area and never had any problems with anything.

Roosevelt is not a good area from what I've heard... my friend observed at the school and she said it was really bad.

If you want a good school district I suugest West Babylon rather than N babylon......We just finished our house search and were looking in all the same towns.....In Lindy stay south of Sunrise. Massapequa (any area except areas that are Amityville SD) are all in the 300s.....Lindy has great deals on houses right now.

I remember a numbe rof years ago the Roosevelt SD got taken over byt he state because it was doing so poorly, the admin got in so much trouble for mishandling and mismangaing things... and the area's not so nice like everyone said.
