Interestingly, I just read something today about the angel Gabriel and was thinking of what a beautiful and special name that is. I will pray that the angels will care for your Gabriel and bring him a clean bill of health.

I am so sorry to hear about your son. I know how scary it is. My nephew started having seizures at arounds 2 months old. At first they thought they were febrile seizures, I really feel it had something to do with his immunizations (DPT). He had a whole bunch of tests, he was observed in the hospital with an EEG for three days and they never found the root of the problem. He was having seizures without fevers. They put him on phenobarbitol he was constanly drugged and still having seziures. This went on for two years. Finally they put him on a medication that is used in adults (Keppra). He has been seizure free for three years now. He is a intelligent, happy and healthy little boy. And they say they can try and take him off the meds when he gets a little older. Hopefully for you it is only an isolated incident related to the pneumonia, but if not be assured that with all the advances today with medications your son will be fine. Children are so resilant they can overcome anything. Keep us posted. My prayers are with you and your family.

Thanks for all the FMs girls! Yesterday we went in and saw Dr. Ceeko?? She is going to have him tested with the EEG? I need to make an appointment. She think its ticks and not seizures because he is coherant through them.. He had trouble breathing last night - It seemed like 2 asthma attacks. I almost called an ambulance but didnt want to stress him more. I still dont know if I did the right thing. Each one lasted about an hour and he wheezed all night in his sleep, and wet the bed (which he hasnt done in forever) I gave him a nebulizer treatment but it didnt seem to help much. I took him to the doctor first thing this morning and they think he has spasmatic croup???? It just doesnt seem right. Pneumonia, a rash, ticks, throwing up and croup all within a month!!!! Come on! Is it really possible! My poor little baby!
Thanks for all your concerns... Ill know more after the EEG.

my nephew has asthma and does the nebulizer treatments too. but he also has bouts of croup as well. sooo sad to see innocent children going through medical problems. i will say a prayer for your lil guy!
