I was going to recommend Ikea, also Furn-a-kit has great quality furniture for low prices. DH and I both got our computer desks there and saved a bundle.

If you want quality furniture you can't go to Ikea, Seamans or Levitts. I'm not sure what your budget is, but quality furniture would be at Thompsonville, Ethan Allen.

I don't agree my parents bought their couch from Seamans and it is great condition for a couch that they use everyday and that they bought 6-7 years ago. JMO

We bought some furniture at the Place on 110 in Farmingdale (there are a bunch of furniture stores right in that area) and were very happy.

Stanley's in Patchogue- really nice stuff, big selection, good pricing, and good quality.

Plus I live in Patchogue and i like buying from the 'little guy'' - spending your $$ locally and etc.

Not sure where you are located, but there are a ton of furniture stores on Route 110 in Farmingdale...a lot of them have good sales, etc...you may want to hold off until memorial day weekend if you can so you can get some bargains!!!

I second Route 110 lot's of choices over there.

Ikea has decent furniture, that won't last you forever but does the job. I think I like their home accents better than the actual furniture. I bout a tV entertainment wall unit from there which has been fine for our small apartment, but probably won't keep it if we move to a house. You should check out Macy's Furniture showroom/clearance outlet on Glen Cove Road near Roosevelt mall. They have a back section of all clearance floor models-it may have minor 'damage' could be one scratch on the back of a leather couch and the price is reduced to $400, not bad.

I bought my furniture there years ago when they were still A&S. AWESOME deals, definitely check them out.
