i went to rubies last night. it is on 121st street and jamaica ave in queens.

honestly - i always loved this costume shop - this year i thought it was a GIANT disapointment.

they had the same stuff as party city and were charging $5 more per costume. and the stupid store closed @ 9!!! what costume store closes @ 9 the week before halloween!!!

they are fun to go and look around - but unless you are renting your costume - very not worth it...IMO

Ricky's in the city always has a large variety of costumes....

thanks for all the suggestions ladies! I actually ended up finding a costume at a place called Melody on Merrick Road in Seaford. They had a pretty decent selection and I liked that they actually let you try the costumes on. However, it was a bit pricey. I think I got ripped off. Hmmmmm....just think....i could have gotten about 15 favors for the amount of money I've ended up spending on a stupid costume!
