YAY! rock on... speech jobs are hard to find! (I'm a special ed. teacher-- the speech teacher works with my kids and i are BFF!

i rely on her insight so much....

what district are you in?

On the contrary they are in high demand. The only problem is that you must have a masters degree and be licensed

...I just got lucky because I know someone who works for the board of ed. that hooked me up with the supervisor of the speech dept. and although I only have my BA in speech she was able to offer me a speech teaching job..lucky me

. I am in district 10 (in the Bronx)

I'm going in for my interview today. I will be working as a speech teacher if everything goes well..send me some prayers...I will give you an update later on

ETA: Thank you ladies for all your prayers...I GOT THE JOB!!! I was soo nervous..its funny how much you know when you are under pressure ..I will be starting in a few weeks..just have to get my finger print clearance, and send in my application for my license.. Thanks again ladies
