I already knew this because my fiance is Chinese and his family was very adamant about our wedding waiting until this year. We weren't officially engaged until July but we were supposed to be engaged earlier in the year. However, Jimmy's dad and uncle passed away in February of last year, so we had to delay the engagement until after a period of mourning.

There are a lot of traditions involved in a chinese wedding, even picking our wedding day was very involved. We had to contact an elder to review our horoscopes to determine the auspicious wedding days.

Yes. My FH is chinese and his family was very happy when we set an 06 wedding date.
