Aruba!!!!!
We went for our HM and loved it so much we bought a timeshare!! The weather was beautiful (5 minutes of rain a few days and then cleared up quickly), out of the hurricane belt, beautiful beaches, great food and nightlife and great hotels.

Either there or a mediterranean cruise, but if you want the beach, go to Aruba. Went to Los Cabos in November, didn't love it as much.

I couldnt agree with you more. We went for our october honeymoon and it rained 5 minutes in the night during the entire time we were there. Its a little bit expensive, but no where near what you would spend in hawaii.

FH and I booked a cruise in the Carribean for 7 days that leaves the 15th of october out of New York. We booked it threw expedia.com. The ship is Norwegian Dawn, and we are excited.

We went to Florida since the DH's boss offered us free use of his summer house down there. It was a neat little beach town just north of ft lauderdale. We spent every day on the beach drinking pina coladas.

However, We went October 17th thru 22. Wilma rolled through town the evening of the 23rd! We JUST squeeked by, and were watching the news/weather reports those last few days, and were quite nervous.
Everything worked out in the long run, but it was a close call!

Best reccomendation I can give, get some sort of travel insurance. I know someone who got married the same day as me, and went to mexico right after their wedding. they DID get hit by wilma's wrath, and spent the second 1/2 their honeymoon crowded in a shelter in a room with about 15 other people, and no running water/electricity/beds/etc. They DID have travel insurance, and are getting partially reimbursed at least.

Your safe in St Lucia. We were there Oct 4-14 and it was great. The locals couldnt recall the last time they had a bad storm not to mention a hurricane!
