Re: ~*~*~*~*Official Chateau Briand Thread ~*~*~*~*

i CB & so did all of my guests :)

We originally had the saturnia booked w/ a 150 min....... And what do you know we invited 250 --- and about 2 months before our wedding I decided to see if they have a bigger room available 'just in case' thank goodness they did because I dont know how 190 pppl would have fit in the saturnia. We had the normandy room and let me tell you, coming out of the floor was the best thing - ppl could not believe it (we kept it a secret) they were like what the heck is going on . amazinggggggg

Re: ~*~*~*~*Official Chateau Briand Thread ~*~*~*~*

Yeah, I think the estimate that Saturnia seats 200 is a packed house!! With our list at 160, I expect we'll be fine, and I truly hope there are only 12 tables. Then with me, FH and vendors, I'll hit my minimum and only that.

I'm curious about the CH now though, so if anyone has had their CH there recently, please post about the inside/outside thing. I'm going to call my BM, but I'm waiting until I have about 10 questions . . . . making a list!!

I have a 150 min,( I have a friday night) but there are about 250 on my invite list.

I know they say over 300 fits in that room...in all honesty be careful! And do the oval tables not round. I had round tables and 150 and swear we could only fit 2 more tables (total of 170) it was PACKED!!!

Thanks!! Good to know! Anything else you recommend? Did you use the cake that they give you in your package, or did you get it elsewhere? If so how was it? I've heard mixed reviews about the cake.

Any past brides use the Leonardo DaVinci room? If so, which tables did you go with? We are probably going to have around 185 guests.

So have I! I was thinking about calling the bakery and asking for a tasting. Although I think its nuts too buy another cake!

Also, I called the hall today because I had a few questions and we can use both the indoor and outdoor for the CH!!

Re: ~*~*~*~*Official Chateau Briand Thread ~*~*~*~*

i used their cake - it looked nice and when i ate it the next day it was good.

girls that are having the vienesse hour - anything left over - they pack for you :)

I had 190 in the normandy room and it felt pretty tight. But then again almost every person was dancing on the dance floor.

Re: ~*~*~*~*Official Chateau Briand Thread ~*~*~*~*

also i dont know what you ladies are doing with favors btu we were giving espresso cups as favors (one per guest) and we didnt want it to take up so much room on the table - so the waiters gave it out after dessert.

Re: ~*~*~*~*Official Chateau Briand Thread ~*~*~*~*

Thats a good idea! I am confused though. I am in the same room and I have a 220 min. So how was it tight if it is supposed to fit over 300. This worries me! I have to make sure I call up and ask.
