funny, I didn't think I was Strong. Every time I read a post..supporting me or giving me a suggestion about this, I start to tear up. {8( oh well, I'll write the letter tonight, maybe find a tear jerker on tv and get it out. Now Ibve got to writer up a "contract" for the students/quartet playing during our ceremony.
rob's mom has been great too
Perhaps he can be waiting for you at the alter (on the "bride's" side) so he can greet you with a kiss and shake the groom's hand and escort your mother (who will be walking with you) to her seat. This way, he is present in front of everyone and still plays a role in "giving you away"...just an idea.

Phyl- You are being much stronger than you think. Keep that head up!!!
Also, which string quartet did you choose?
We wanted a catholic-type ceremony since we were both raised with that tradition but are not overly religious now.
String quartet,etc
is a high school group. They are from Syosset High School. The teacher that kinda manages all of this is the music teacher: ms Pat Coppies. She isn't the easiest to get in touch with, but she is very helpful. Rob & I picked ceremony music this past sunday- of course, from sites on the internet.
I just spent an hour typing up a "contract" in Word and called her to tell her I was sending it over. Just need to get the students names and contact numbers just incase of emergency.
This whole music project took me in total, about a solid week;s worth of time to put together. Probably one of the reasons we don't have a song chosen for our dance or his dance w/ his mom.
ok ladies, here's my story
I won't tell you not to worry about it because I know how you feel. I will not have much family at my wedding. Just my mom ,sister, and brother. My parents are going through a real ugly divorce and none of my fathers (step-fathers) family will be there. My mom doesn't have much family to speak of- and we aren't really close with them. So needless to say- my inlaws and friends are my extended family and I'm going to try to remember that. I do know how you feel though. Its hard not to feel sorry for yourself. We decided not do a brides side and grooms side. Everyone will be seated in the best available seat. Try to focus on you and your man- and remember how lucky you are to have found someone to spend your life with and to make a family all your own with. Take care Stacy
I'm going to be a bride's made in june, and the dress is high in front and low cut in back. We girls just bought the sticker thing, that you put on your breast, i don't know what's the name for that. You can finde them in a lot of stores, i bought mine at Victoria's secret. At mine wedding in august, my bride's mades are going to wear the same thing.
