I was at a wedding recently where there were women on the men's side and they wore the same dress as the bridesmaids, but in black. It look very classy.

i don't see the big deal. if she is really his close friend and not yours, and she doesn't to wear a dress, let alone a pink one, then let her wear a tux. who is it going to kill? it won't ruin anything for you, and by saying okay to it, you are showing FH that you can compromise which makes you come out on top anyway.

I'm with Eileen - I don't see what the big deal is. If you feel you really can't completely compromise, then maybe she could wear the dress in black. But honestly, if she's an important person to you both, don't you want her happy/comfortable? Do you really want a puss face in all your pics?!?
