I am a BIG horror flick gal

And to me Exorcist will never be beat.
I never found any of the above mentions 'scary'.except i did like Phantasm and LOVE the characters in Hellraiser. But that stuff scared me when i was in grade school.
I personally HATED 28 days..I found it completely predicatble. I agree about the RIng, actually that freaked me out.

I CANNOT watch the Exorcist.. though I think I seen it like 3 times. (Of course, I left the room and changed the channel multiple times). I hate movies about the devil. That stuff just scares the $hit out of me.
Forget about it.

But for ths year, I can't wait to see M. Night Shamalan's(sp) new movie, The Village.

That guy is good.

Cabin Fever was one of the worst movies ever made- not just in the horror films either. It made zero sense. And the best part is the actor named Rider Strong...who names their kid that..he should be makin pornos with that name.

Loved 28 days. Salems Lot is one of my all time favs.

I found Cabin Fever to be a gripping, stirring, intricate movie.. with many twists and turns.. unfortunately.. none of them were good!

I laughed at the movie after saying 'WTF', many, many times. I recommend it for a party of drunken people who don't care about plot. (that'll sober them up! LOL)

But truth be told, I didn't hate it. I laughed at it. It was waaay too stupid to be taken seriously.

Drunken movies include Army of the Dead and Dead Zone. heh

We used to rent at least 5 'B' movies every Friday when I was younger... My dad, brother and I would sit up all night with popcorn and chips and watch them all laughing our A$Ses off!!

Ah, them was the days!

Re: OMG what a GREAT Horror Flick year it shall bE!!!!

Who has seen Basket Case? I am truly a lover of really bad rented b-horror movies.

Has anyone ever seen Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things? I still remember that Saturday afternoon when my mom told me NOT to watch it because it would scare me (I was like 8). I watched it and slept with the lights on for days. It is the pre-cursor to Dawn of the Dead type movies.

Okay Cabin Fever- what made someone write the script and then made a producer say Yay,that makes sense let's make it into a movie? I mean, I never understood why that guy shot that sick man more than once, why he wouldn't try to help the guy? What human beings would do that? And then they put their friend in a shed and the whole thing was just one stupid move after another. I would love to met the person who wrote it and hit him...just once...just because he needs some sense knocked into him.

I also read they are remaking Salem's Lot. I cannot wait for that too.

The Exocist never scaried me really. Not sure why. But the orginal Psycho did and the b&w Night of the Living Dead did too.

Re: OMG what a GREAT Horror Flick year it shall bE!!!!

the original night of the living dead scared me a lot. anything with clowns or dolls or trolls or little things that come to life. ugh....silence of the lamb series disturbed me a lot.

Exorcist is just CLASSIC

The old Black & White Night of the living dead is classic too..

I mean for the day and age within the first 5mins there's a body count.. GOTTA LOVE IT!

The ending was messed up too.

Seen all the 'living dead' series.. they got silly after awhile. The Mall, the corpse on the table, the basement army containers. I still love them all!

there's a full budget remake of one of the 'dead' movies.. I think night of the living dead.. or it dawn of the dead.. not sure.. but htere's one coming out.

Cabin Fever was just such a movie of extremems... extreme gore.. extreme
coldness towards another person and extreme poor taste. With that being said and upon this basis, it deserves an Oscar.
