Out of Town Guests

I have several family members coming from other parts of the country. My wedding is in Franklin Square. Are there anywhere nearby hotels or motels (nice ones) that anyone can recomend for them to stay at?

Have you called the catering hall where your wedding is and asked them for referrals?

What about the Marriot next to the Nassau Coliseum. It is a really nice hotel and isnt that far from Franklin Square.

There aren't many hotels around Franklin square. The closest and nicest is Garden City Hotel, and that is kind of expensive. There's also the Marriott in Uniondale, Holiday Inn in Rockville Center, the Omni near Hofstra (I think). I think there are some other less-expensive hotel chains in Rockville Center which isnt that far from Franklin Square.

My suggestion is this: stick with a popular chain hotel. Although the Garden City Hotel is lovely people from out of town have no idea why you have asked them to pay the prices that they are charging, since they do not know anything about the hotel. The Holiday Inn in RVC is great and they even have a restaurant and banquet room if you wanted to host a hospitality night, for your guests. Marriott's are all over the world so people are familiar with their service and what they can expect. I would also offer two hotels one that is a little less expensive but still nice and one that is upscale, so that people can choose the one that fits their budget.

The Best Western Hotel in Hempstead is a good idea. It's 10 minutes away and a nice hotel.

When I first booked the room, I expressed my concerns to Tiffany. My FMIL will be using that bathroom all night (the reason why we booked it is b/c she is on oxygen and she needs everything on one level b/c she can't climb stairs). Told her it needed to be cleaned & prepped...she said she'd put a flower arrangement in the room.

THE DIPLOMAT ON SUNRISE IS NICE AND INEXPRNSIVE

We decided on Nick's in the town of Montauk.It is a great spot if you are having a small (we are having about 110)wedding. We rented the second floor which is mostly all windows looking out onto the ocean.Claire & Nick are so nice to do business with and the food is great.

There is an entrance to the beach just outside the restaurant. We are having our ceremony there.
