Re: Parents Gift Idea?!! List them
Great Ideas Ladies. My mom already has a digital camera and well she's still trying to figure out how to use it.
OMG, a perfect gift for my dad would have been a cell phone since the one he has now is HORRIBLE. I like the restaurant idea, but don't think my parents have a favorite restaurant. The Bed and Breakfast is also a great idea, but I'm not sure if my parents actually would appreciate that. They might take each others head off. They remind me of the Mr. and Mrs. Barrone on Everybody loves Raymond.
I ended up buying the computer tonight. I was overbudget but I think they will appreciate it.

Thansk Annie!! I really love all these ideas listed above. I ended up going over budget because I added a flat panel monitor to the computer. My parents are weird, it's like they won't buy anything for themselves but if you buy something for them, then they crtiticize it. Well criticize may not be the word I am looking for, but they ask 'Oh, did they have XXXX?'. So after speaking to my sister we both agreed that my father would have done one of his 'Did they have a flat panel screen' because their NONWORKING computer now has one.
Oh well, I'm glad it's over with!I'm off to the hairdresser! My shower is this weekend in FL (thrown by FH's mom and sister!)
Oh, keep those ideas coming! I know other brides and grooms are going to need ideas.

The parents are paying for a large bulk of the wedding so we really wanted to do something nice for them but they have everything. So it was very hard to come up with something until I spoke with a friend and he told me about this awesome wedding gift he received. It is called Select Registry. It is a conglomeration of over 400 very distinct and unique (ie on a plantation, elaborate gardens, historical, etc) B&B's and Inns all across the country and Canada. You just buy them a gift certificate and they get to choose any B&B or Inn they want to stay at and it can be used up to 7 years. So we thought it would be a nice idea to sort of buy them 'a weekend away'.
It can be found below if you would like to take a peak.

This is an awesome idea! How much did it cost for a weekend? (if you don't mind sharing!)
TIA!
It all depends honestly. You just put any amount on the certificate. It is the normal price of a stay at a B&B. WE did about $350 each figuring maybe the average price of a night in a B&B is anywhere between $150-$200.
