Starting Jan 1 you need a passport anywhere out of USA. My dad is in Homeland Security- YOU NEED IT!!

I spoke with my Travel agent and they told me that we do not need passports to Aruba!!

I'm fairly certain your agent is wrong. I don't mean to harp on this point, but it would be such a shame if any of you got turned away at the gate, which happens - I saw people get sent home (see above posts). They wouldn't even let them on the plane to go to Aruba.

I'm still very confused about this but we are definitely gonna get them b/c I've heard from lots of people that it's quicker through customs w/ a passport and I also just feel better having it...the only pain is that I guess I'll have to change my name on mine right after I get it practically but it's not like we travel constantly anyways..b/c I obviously don't have one now...

And we're staying at the Bucuti in Aruba!
