Okay, I called Patken to get some prices and they looked reasonable for what you're paying for, but has anyone actually used them, or been in a bridal party where they took pictures? From what I've seen, a lot of people have inquired, but not actually booked them. The scary thing is, I tried to pull up a search on Patken, and I got into a web page that was for some Consumer Business Bureau, ad there was one very negative complaint about the company. Turns out they do complete wedding packages (photos, video, flowers, limos) which I didn't know about and this bride and groom were bashing them in their letter. Now I know that the good experiences usually out weigh the bad, but any tid bits on them would be appreciated.
Lorraine, since you are also a future Jericho Terrace bride, who did you go with? Thanks :)

i actually just booked photographer/video on friday and went with glenmar. there had been alot of positive postings on here and know some people that have used them. they were fairly reasonable for there package, and started to panick that i am 4 months away and did not have a photographer/video.
does anyone have the phone number and/or contact for invitation to dance?

Memorial Day weekend May 2001. It seems so far away. There are three weddings next year between our two families. Fortunately they are all spread apart through the year. My cousin was so bummed we booked Jericho first. She really wanted her wedding there, but she felt bad since we already booked it. She's going with the Swan Club instead. I can not even imagine being 5 mos away. Are you stressing yet ?LOL. But anyway back to the photo issue, Cassarino is so traditonal and I want more of a candid contemporary look to the pictures. My friend who got married in Nov used Fine Art, and they were great but out of my price range. I am going to look into Glenmar. Next is the flowers. Got any suggestions? Thanks again and keep me posted!:)
I went to Party City in Stony Brook to buy them and found the caps to be very difficult to remove. I really couldn't get them off - they were the once w/the single dove. That would be bad for little kids and older family members w/arthritis.

I DID NOT LOOK AT FINE ART BECAUSE THE PRICES I WAS QUOTED WERE VERY HIGH. I WANTED CANDIDS/BLACK AND WHITES - NOT ALL POSED, AND GLENMAR CAN ACCOMODATE THAT. REMEMBER THAT IF YOU GO ASK IF JOHN (PHOTOGRAPHER) IS AVAILABLE. I AM VERY STRESSED OUT - WE GOT ENGAGED THE END OF NOVEMBER, BOOKED THE HALL THE MIDDLE OF DECEMBER. I STILL NEED TO DO MY FLOWERS/LIMOS/INVITATIONS/HEADPIECE/HONEYMOON ETC. IF YOU WANT MORE INFORMATION ON MY PACKAGE FROM GLENMAR, MY E-MAIL ADDRESS IS ABOVE. GOOD LUCK!
The Carltun and Carlyle On The Green are owned by the same people. Great reputation, but expensive. Very pretty for a spring/summer wedding.

We booked Patken (Lindenhurst office). My friend used them and she said she loved them. She used Doug Patken as the photographer. They do have good prices and I love there custom albums. We will see, I hope they are as good as she says.
I also saw that article about the better business bureau. But everyone has different experiences, I just hope ours is good.

Iused Patken for my wedding last may the pictures and Fred out photographer was GREAT! I'd reccomend Patken!
After the staff showed him how to secure my french bustle (how funny that was!!!), I turned to him and showed him the final product. He had this wonderful smile on his face and a sparkle in his eye......and I was so moved I cried.
It was 'our moment' - one I'll remember always.
