Pc Richards vs Plessers Question.

I went to PC Richards, and didn't speka with anyone there but they had a sale for a 4 piece appliances, fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. It was on sale for 2800.

I went to Plessers, and they gave me a price of about 2200, and from what i can tell they are the same fridge and stove, not positive about teh other 2, but comparable.

Will PC Richards go down on there sale price by $600?? Seems like would be too much.

Also do most places charge for delivery or is it free?? Plessers aid $50 fro everything, we will also be getting a washer and dryer too.

Also will Plessers go down more then the prices they already gave me, sicne they were alot lower then the sticker prices. Fridge was 1500, stove was 1050, etc.

Re: Pc Richards vs Plessers Question.

I think that they will.. I've always had no problems negotiating with PC Richards..

I have seen the ads for Plessers and have been intrigued by their sales however..

My DH believes that there is always room for neg. so I think it's worth a shot to negotiate,,

Re: Pc Richards vs Plessers Question.

I know they negotiate with the sticker prices, I just wasn't sure about the sale prices. We will go tommorow and see if they are willing to negotiate. My DH hates to negotiate, so I ahve to be the one to do it!!

He once paid sticker price for a car!!

Re: Pc Richards vs Plessers Question.

They'll negotiate. We got charged only a one time only $20 delivery fee for 4 appliances on 4 different deliveries times from PC Richards. That's $5 a delivery!

You should go a try to negotiate, it's worth the effort!

Re: Pc Richards vs Plessers Question.

PC Richards has always beat or matched the price of a competitor for me. The last thing I bought was a humidifer. I just mentioned that I saw it for x and he said ok lll match it and you can take it home. I think they were the only store on LI that still had humidifies in stock!

Re: Pc Richards vs Plessers Question.

I've had no experience with Plessers, but have to say I've had no good experiences with PC Richards. The sales help always seems to stink .. now, I'm not one who likes sales people lurking over me as I shop, but I've been in at several different times, looking at different big ticket items over the years (stereo .. digital camera weeks before Chrismas) .. and every time I'm alone, no one ever bothers to ask if they can help .. however, when hubby and I were out shopping once .. someone did come by after we were snooping around the big TVs for a bit. And when I've gone to track someone down to answer questions, I've always felt I get a brush-off answer. Maybe I smell???

Re: Pc Richards vs Plessers Question.

I just bought all my appliances from PC Richards. I brought them in the list of models I wanted along with the price I was willing to pay (based on competition) and they beat it by a few dollars. And they were very thankful that we came to them to give them the opportunity to make the sale.

Definitely go to PC Richards with the offer you got from Plessers and see if they can compete.

Dont forget tax, delivery, installation and warranties - all of that figures into the price so compare totals, not line items.

Hope that helps :D

Re: Pc Richards vs Plessers Question.

I went to PC Richards last night, and found out the price Plessers gave me was for a drifferent line, that PC Richards doesn't carry. I was able to get PC Richards to give me the better models for only 150 more then the middle of the road line. I like the Frigidaire Pro Series Better, since the handles of all of the appliance are stainless, and not black. Also the stove and Fridge have a few more options.

So I think we will go with the Pro Series, But when we went back to Plessers, they said they would match PC Richards.

Now we ahve to decide on a washer and dryer, since the price they gave me at Plessers was too low, I must have misunderstood the salesman, and he isn't in until Friday.
