we are mixing both- a few traditional shots but mostly candid/photojournalism. be specific with your photographer though b/c everyone has a different defintion of photojournalism. I prefer photos that look like the photographer captured intimate moments between the couple (i found out in my interviews most of those are actually staged/posed but i still like the look) and photos capturing all the little details that went into the wedding - like the details of embroidery on the dress. We did decide to add a few traditional shots in there like the family photos. and some candids - people laughing/dancing/ enjoying themselves. so we are mixing the different styles.

Doing a mix, mostly portrait and posed but I want a few photojournalistic, especially with me and my BMs getting ready

We used a photojournalist as our main photographer (Anthony Vazquez from Perceptions) and then we added on one of his traditional photographers as well. It was so surprising when our parents and grandparents looked over the photos they wanted because they really gravitated toward the traditional, color photographs whereas we absolutely loved the black and white photojournalistic ones
