We had a friday night wedding and we were married at flowerfield. It started at 6 for hospitiality. I have to say, all of my guests made it to the hospitality and ceremony. So nobody missed the cocktail hour and mostly everyone stayed until the end. It was also easter weekend...

I would much rather go to a Friday night wedding than a Sunday wedding. You won't have to worry about people leaving early to get home and get to bed.

I enjoy friday night weddings, I wouldn't have to get up the next morning. Mondays are hard for me to take off.

I think I would prefer Friday night, unless most of you guests have to travel to the wedding.

I really don't like to go to FRiday night weddings. JMO, but I don't think it's right to ask people to have to leave work early, which almost all of your guests will have to do. I work in the city, so it's even more difficult for me to get to LI for a fRiday night. I have to leave work two hours earlier than I would if I worked on LI just because fo travel time. No one has to WORK on Sunday night, taking the MOnday off is an option.

I would say a Sunday for the same reasons most of you girls have been mentioning.

I recently went to a Friday night wedding and everyone seemed pretty reserved. I think most people were exhausted from their week of work & then rushing to the wedding. I also heard their church wasn't as crowded as they would have liked and some people arrived late due to Fri. night traffic.

On a Sunday people have all day to prepare and they had all weekend to relax and are looking forward to it. Also this way the rehearsal can be on Friday.

Obviously whatever you decide your wedding will be wonderful and those that love you will be there.

I think Martin Luther King weekend would be good if u have to do it on a Sunday. I know that schools are closed and so is the stock market so banks probably are also.

I prefer a Friday(I am getting married on a Friday) because I don't like the idea of going to a wedding on a Sunday evening because if I have a really good time, I would be to tired the next day. I would much rather take a couple of hours off on a Friday for a wedding than a whole Monday. Also, as far as people in the church go, people who want to be there will be there regardless, no matter what time or day of week.

I am getting married on a Friday. I prefer a Friday that way you can have fun at the wedding and not worry about what time it is because you have work the next day! A Sunday isnt bad if it is a holiday weekend.

A friday. we wanted a saturday too but the gaurentee was too high so we chose a friday people have teh weekedn to recouperate.

we chose sunday - and i see i am in the minority here on your poll b/c we realized that its a little easier in some ways - either way, guests have to arrnage their day - firday or monday - but we figured it was easier for those coming to come up sat and then relax and be rested for the actual event...then be exhausted from getting there and then have two days after to recover....
