I said 'Ma' to my FMIL when I first got engaged because we both giggled when I said it. But I call her by her first name now... she's not my mom.

I am not going to.

I only have one mom&dad, i wouldn't feel right.

Yes, I feel the same way. I call them by their first names and FH calls my Dad by his first names. Someday they probably be called grandma and grandpa

I try very hard, but out of habit, it comes out Mr and Mrs. I have known them since I was 18, and that is what I have always called them. It is also a little strange for me because both of my parents have passed away... It's hard to explain. something I worry about though -- traditional Italian family -- I think they think it is disrespectful if I don't call them mom and dad.

i have one set of parents - thats enough!

I call them by their first names, it's very comfortable.

No, I currently call them by their first names and will continue doing that after we're married.

Thats what I've been doing.

I will not be calling them mom and dad. I still call them Mr and Mrs after 4 1/2 years so maybe we'll advance to first names after the wedding but i'm not sure.

His mother has been so good to me all these years that I won't mind calling her mom. His father on the other hand..

I have been married for a year to their son and i still call them MRS. and MR. ONce in a while i call them by their first name but never, mom and dad. We really don't get along.
