I was about 8 or 9 years old laying in bed watching TV with my cousin.... eating a big fat jawbreaker.... sure enough, I started to choke, my cousin had no idea what to do and I was flailing around the room in a panic. I finally, somehow, managed to give myself the heimlick with the corner of the dresser just before I almost passed out.

when i was 17 and worked in Genevese (sp) on grand ave in Baldwin. we men came in after the store closed and robbed the place, armed with guns. all the employees had to lie on the floor in front of the safe as the manager gave them all the $$ in it. scariest day of my freaking life. then had to go to the line-up, it is NOT like they show it on tv. i get letters from the prison letting me know when the guy is up for parole, i didn't go to the trial.

When I was 7 I was hit by a car in front of my house while my brother watched, I was badly injured and my left ear was split open and hanging.

In July 2002 I had some really bad backache one day, then the next day I woke up with fevers and chills and I was throwing up and getting dizzy, I asked DH (FH at that time) to take me to the emergency room. When I got there they admitted me immediatley, I had a raging kidney infection which was now traveling through my body. The dr taking care of me told me that if I didnt come in when I did I could have died

I've choked lots of times, unfortunately! I still get nervous eating in public sometimes!

But I'd have to say the tie would be the time I almost drowned in the ocean (I couldn't swim well and we went too far out... it was a lot deeper than we thought!!) and the time I was camping and was being followed by a gigantic black bear. I don't know if it was 'out to get me' but I was about 7 years old and have never been more scared in my life! this thing was HUGE... and I was TINY... and I bet it was hungry!! I ran faster than I have ever run before and somehow I escaped!! I have a tattoo of a bear paw now to commemorate the occasion!
