Yuck...sorry you have that in you birthday memories.

It has actually become a sick family joke- my birthday was always tramua as a kid since it was the day after Christmas, then I had my boyfriend dump me on my 17th, numerous flu and stomach ailments, the flu this year when my FH met my family and none of my friends in NY since I was sick, it just goes on and on. It always is- what could happen next on Chris' birthday!!! I have learned to love other people's birthday's more. And at my age, I don't even like celebrating anymore so its a bonus! Ok, Christine's poor me speech has now ended. You can return to your regularly scheduled programming...

WOW!!!! congratulations! talk about a gift for your whole family!

(I was going to say my 30th b-day cause 3 of my friends and I all turned 30 around the same time and rented out a bar in the city and had a huge party.)

Thanks all. After 5 years of experimental drugs and being a guinnea pig for a test group, it all came out ok.

Of course, it seems like I may have to go through it again but that's for a different thread.

my 8th birthday was my most special... because my bday is in the summer i spent all of my childhood bdays in italy (where most of my family is). i was always so bummed that i couldn't have a party like all the rest of the kids, so on my 8th birthday my dad (who was a chef) made me an extra-special cake with 8 perfect little marzipan smurfs! i was really into the smurfs so it meant the world to me...
