Question about altering organza dresses

Can the bottom of an organza dress be taken in? Another words, if I needed to order a larger size for my top, the waist and hip area will be bigger then I need. Can they make the bottom less full, if its too full when I try it on? They ordered me a size 10 for my boobs but my waist is a 6...
Anyone have their organza part altered?

Re: Question about altering organza dresses

I'm not totally sure what you are asking. If you are worried it will be too big in the waist/hip area, they can definitely take it in. If you want the bottom of the skirt to be less full, they may have to cut out some crinoline, but they can still make it less full. They cannot, however, change the shape of the dress. For example, they can't take an A-line and make it a trumpet.

Re: Question about altering organza dresses

Yes they can alter organza gowns. My gown is organza, and I only need the top taken in. But they can definitely do it.

Re: Question about altering organza dresses

Yes! I had satin with organza over it and it was taken in several times.
