It also depends on the month your getting married in. certain months are less expensive.

It defintely depends on the month. I was looking at May or June, so i'm guarenteed a warm day. However when i was quoted for may, the same price ran through till september. October was 15 less for a friday night, and April was 25 less... So.. thats why i pushed the date up till the last friday in April!

It seems like everyone loves CLM-- but a good friend of my FH who the potential best man is seriously dating had her sweet 16 there so he doesnt even want to look I haven't started looking yet but I have a list of places that I'd like to check out so if anyone has any pricing for the following let me know---(sorry for the long list!!)

East Wind, Tall Grass CC, Giorgios, The Metropolitan, Jericho Terrace, Woodbury CC, Fox Hollow, Woodbury Manor, Crescent Beach Club, Windwatch Hotel & Golf Resort, Riverview.... have I missed any... (I also like timber point & the water mill but we've both been to proms there & my FH is still friends with A LOT of his buddies from high school so he thinks it would be like reliving prom lol)

My FH and I are looking for a vendor. So far, we have been to some sites in Brooklyn and Queens. But, I'm looking for a vendor in LI because the sites are so beautiful. I noticed you said you check out the Rivera. Is that the one in Brooklyn?

My FH and I have Jericho Terrace as a possible vendor. The price that you were quoted, what month was it for? Did they give you an idea of what months would be cheaper?

I've heard good things about that location.. Have fun planning your wedding.. We're booked at giorgio's.. They're amazing too.. We're going for the bridal showcase/food tasting on 7/26/06.. any one else going that night?

the prices we got for jericho terrace were for october. yes of course they vary by month. from nov. to about march seem to be the cheapest b/c it is winter and business slows down drastically for catering halls. we booked the Sandcastle and couldn't be happier. they are amazing there nothing but great things to say about that place. check it out

It is a 10 day stay at a hotel in Greece. No airfare or food included but it can be used anytime. We cannot go for our honeymoon because the resort closes from mid-october to march for their winter season but we can use it in September of the following year as a pre-anniversary trip. All you have to do is let them know 8 months before you want to use it and they set you up. It was just the perfect perk to help make our decision. What other place could match that?? Not to mention how nice they are there. Patty is the best.

A friend of mine told me that the SandCastle is gorgeous. Did you get a good price for 2008? The reason I ask because I am getting married the same year. I would love a summer month but of course it would be more expensive. Did they tell you what months would be off peak. Thanks for any feedback.

just like everywhere else from about november to about march is off peak. and yes we got an excellent price. you should definitly go check it out and get prices they are very reasonible. you gotta just bargain try to get as much as you can from them for the best price they will give. well that really goes for anywhere.after they tell you thier insane price per head give them the number you want to be at and watch them work their magic, somehow they will get pretty darn close if not right on the button. the place is amazing. hope that helps...

We booked the Fox Hollow for March of 2008 and got a REALLY great price with extra's thrown in at no extra charge. It was mainly because of the time of year though. For Fox Hollow march is off season and therefore they can offer a better price. We booked the last weekend in March and our BM said that if we wanted to move the date to the first weekend in April the price would jump significantly like between $25 and $50 pp just because April was considered the start of their 'wedding season'

FH and I decided on March before we went to the halls by the way because we originally wanted the weekend before or after St. Patty's day (to really tie in the Irish feel) but those two weekends are Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday and the priest we've known forever wouldn't have been able to marry us so we conceeded, booked the last weekend in March, got a fantastic price and are still doing the little bits of Irish things that we wanted to do in the first place!

Has Anyone quoted a reasonable hall in Brooklyn. The marriott is offering me a wedding package for 158 per person. I need help for a hall and i'm planning a wedding in july.

I booked my reception about a month ago at Venetian Yacht Club, it was the first place we looked at and basically everywere I looked at afterwards I was comparing to there and couldn't find anywhere more perect that I fell in love with...it was love at first sight lol

...other than that I did look at a ridiculous amount of places so ANY questions anyone has I would be more than happy to answer...BUT I'm not listing my reviews on here because although many I did like alot, some were honestly horrible and I have strong negative feelings towards so I don't want to offend or make anyone feel bad just incase that is where their wedding is, so here's my list in Alpha Order:

Chateau La Mer I got quoted $115* for a Sat. evening, in May of 2008 with a guarantee of 200 people.

Riviera I got quoted $100* for a Sat. evening, in May of 2008 with a guarantee of 200 people (which is their maximum capacity).

Was their anything else you wanted to know?

*Just remember that prices depend on the time of year, day of the week, daytime or evening and minimum guarantee (ex. the more people you can guarantee the less you will pay per person!)
