I have an add on question - How did you organize your registry strategy? Did you go to a bunch of stores a few times before adding items to your registry or did you just go once and zap away?

We opened up a registry the first time we went to the stores. Most places give you a list of recommended items to reigster for. Most places have online registries so if you don't like something or want to add something, you can do that after you leave the store. We went back a month or two before my shower to register for bedding. Most stores recommend registering for bedding only a few months before the wedding or shower b/c it tends to get discontinued after a while.

We registered at Bed Bath & Beyond, Macy's and Fortunoff's. Hindsight, I would have only registered at two of them. Macy's was a big pain in the a$$ with everything!!

i registered at Fortunoff (FH and I already live together so we don't need tons) and I did a honeymoon registry - honeymoonwishes.com
