Stresa (in Manhasset) is very nice...that is where my mom had my shower 2 weeks ago!!!
it's beautiful, elegant & excellent food!!

my brother had his RD at Umbertos Restaurant on New Hyde Park Road (I think that is where it is - I'm so bad with road). It is a wonderful italian food restaurant and we had a huge room upstairs with lots and lots of food and wine.

Leap I will second stresa that is where I had my engagement party.

I would also second West End - Not much to look at outside but the inside is cute and the food is great

Coolfish is another great place.
