Requesting people 2b in bridal party..

I am trying to think of a unique way to ask my friends and family to be in my bridal party. Any suggestions?

Requesting people 2b in bridal party..

I sent an invitation to all the girls I wanted in the bridal party to a " secret dinner party". When the night of the dinner came, they were all chatting about the wedding so, I came out and said " speaking of the wedding, I invited you all here tonight because I want you all to be in my bridal party". They were all so happy & a few tears were shed too! I had the dinner party at my house, it was very nice.

What is everyone's opinion about sending out "save the date" cards? Has anyone done this; when is an appropriate time to do so? Any info would be helpful. Thank you and good luck to everyone!

Requesting people 2b in bridal party..

I bought really nice blank cards and wrote a letter to each of my brides maids asking if they would be in my wedding. When I sent them out, I enclosed the movie "The Wedding Singer", because we all grew up together in the 80's and we love Adam Sandler's silly sense of humor. It went over real big...everyone loved it! Why not send each girl a different movie with a wedding in it?!

Wow, what great ideas! Unfortunately, patience is one thing I need alot more of. I was too excited and couldn't wait. Basically, I said "I have been trying to come up with a special way to do this but am not having any luck, SO, would you ...".
