Ric Mango

Price aside, can anyone give me ANY info about the Ric Mango band? I'd appreciate it--I'm close to booking and want some assurance I'm doing the right thing!

He had a 3 piece suit on the night we went to see him and had his feet up on one of the tables in the showroom. The best way I can describe him would be a loudmouth guido(I'm italian). He was like "Hey Yo You should pic us Yo nobody is nicer than us and my flowers are the best, not picking us would be stupid" In my mind I thought go for some english classes and get your feet off the table, you are representing your business!!!! I think Bobbi was a little mortified at the way he was acting, she was trying to keep our attention on her. The morning of my SIL's wedding the van showed up and as she is going through the boxes, I hear a scream. He left out a piece-to make it short, he did come through with the piece before we left for the church but it was missing for some of the pics.

Had them--Loved them!!!! I recommended them to 2 other brides who also used him and loved him. He was a complete gentleman the night our our wedding, spun me around in a circle on the dancefloor and made me feel like a total princess. He came up into my bridal suite and we went over the game plan right before everything started. I had guests come over to me and say "Thank you so much for having live music--we hardly hear it anymore, this guy is fantastic" I checked out about 20 bands before booking them, I even lost a deposit from Rapture because I loved Ric so much. I have been to about 5 weddings with him and each time is better! Good Luck

I've noticed that about half the weddings I've gone to (not that I go to one every weekend), half the brides wear a blusher over their face while walking down the aisle, and the other half don't.

Thanks so much for the info! Is there anything you would have done differently with him? How did he do introductions--was he very energetic? funny? Also, did you use any part of the band for cocktail hour? Did you use his guy who sings Sinatra? I'd really appreciate ANY additional info you can offer (I'm nervous about committing, there are so many great bands out there)! Thanks!

Today I called the Airlines (united) to ask about the problem I have with taking my wedding gown from NY to San Fran, then transfering to Maui, then to Oaho and then to San farn and back to NY. Davids bridal suggested that I call United to find out if I can have someone who works on the plane take my Gown in the garment bag and hang it in a closet durring my flight. So here I am on the phone with a very nice young man and he tell me that passengers who fly coach do not have the same privleges as those who fly first class.

That...GET THIS...I have to roll up my wedding gown and stuff it (I mean literally) into the over head luggage compartment. I almost hit the floor!

I did use the guy who did Sinatra( we were married on 12/12 Sinatra Bday) he was great, it was a nice touch for dinner music. I used a pianist(part of the band) for my cocktail hour--he was great also and played on the baby grand that The Milleridge provides. Ric was very energetic and was good with audience participation-not that annoying kind of MC. I can honestly say that out of 20 bands I saw he was the best and most classy. Most bands have talent but if they don't have class, it can ruin an affair. You can email me privately with anymore questions......Gina :)

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY

Gina, I am also looking for bands and would appreciate any info you have on Ric Mango (price, phone#, location). Do they have a male and female singer? How many members?

I would like to dance with my father to a Frank Sinatra song so I am looking for a band that can perform his songs well. Any other rec. for good bands? Thanks for your help!!!

No need to be paranoid.......just aware. : )
