Ron - at Long Island Weddings

Ron, it is obvious that the bickering on this site has gotten a little out of hand, (I include myself on that comment). Over the last 2 weeks this board has been getting back on track with wedding talk, as you can see in probably the top 50 - 75 messages. Today I come on the board to see my name being slashed by someone with the name Sharon and I defended myself. Mark's posting tonight at 6:30ish states some pretty harsh advice recommending/suggesting that brides contact you to obviously deny others on this board access. This bickering isn't stopping because of people like Sharon throwing names around and Mark giving such instigating advice. I'm sure other brides on here will agree with me as I have been contacted personally by some of them with the same feelings. There are other brides who disagree with me and that's fine, but this will not end if people come on 2 or 3 days later and start hashing this out again. As you can see my postings in the last week, I have tried to let go of these people constantly pounding on me. As Mark has stated below that you might be able to help ban people from this site, he is obviously referring to me and if you feel that this is an appropriate action, please tell me if you would prefer this. I do not feel that I did anything to these people except give my opinion and disagree with them. I don't think that it is fair or mature that Mark is able to join this board and make the comments he is suggesting below. It's unprofessional and wrong. I in absolutley no way criticized this guys work. Why are they allowed to continually hash this out when (as you see lately) us brides have gotten back on track. You may contact me personally if you wish. [email protected] Thank you.

Ron - at Long Island Weddings

here here to kate i support you. i am new to this site and have read some of the unfortunate comments that mark and c-martin, and sharon, and others have written. know that i and many support the freedom of speach with a polite approach and not a nasty, curt, undercurrent! i for one believe that mark the photographer has lost so many customers from his comments and has lost his credibility for a long while. he has not and will not learn. no, he is not more permitted on this site than you and other brides. he is just a vendor! we are the brides!!!! ron should take note that perhaps vendors should not interfere with our site. otherwise we might not have a site left. don't worry.

Thank You Melanie

I just wish to let go of all this. I'm trying, but every couple of days there's someone else pulling it up again yet they are the ones that want to drop it. Thank you for your support. It mean A LOT! to me. At this point, I am no longer angry at these people; I am hurt that they won't let go.

I agree with Candi. Get the opinion of another seamstress and if anything can be done, have them do it and not the Wedding Center.

I am so sorry, but don't worry, it seems like you still have time to fix it and everything will be fine.

Don't go Kate

You have given great advice. You stopped responding to the people who can't seem to end this, weeks ago. I'm a daily visitor to this site and have less than two months to go till the big day, I need your advice. If someone says something negative about you, just ignore them. You will be the bigger person. Some people just like the action of back and forth bickering. I think most would agree they would rather do without it on this site. Keep your advice coming.

We could all use a little stress relief these days.

I am so sorry, but don't worry, it seems like you still have time to fix it and everything will be fine.

Thank you Brenda and I'm glad that I can help with the advice. You're absolutely right. I'm 2 months away too! Good Luck

Don't go Kate

Kate...I'm with ya too. What has gone on here in the last few weeks has been ridiculous and childish to say the least. Mark's behavior was far less than professional and only sparked more stupidity. He didn't impress me at all by throwing around his lunch date with Ron. Who cares who he eats lunch with. Will his lunch date have any impact on any of our weddings? I think not! I don't think vendors belong here on this board. I think vendors should remain silent here. Notice that he's is one of the only vendors on this site?? There are only a handful of vendors at this site responding on all of Long Island. This is a wedding information site and should be left at that. I have already selected my vendors with my "big day" 6 months away, but if I hadn't there would have been NO WAY that I would have even considered him after what I witnessed on this site. He may be the best photographer in the state, or even the country for all I know or care, but after what I saw here he lost any credibility he may have had. There are going to be many different opinions expressed, we don't have to agree with them all. But we are all here for those opinions good or bad without any bickering and sniping. Well I guess I said my peace. Again, Kate.. I'm with ya!

Debby, I hope all works out with your dress. I can't even imagine how upset you must be. Please let us know how you're doing.

I know how horrible you must feel, I too have had problems with the Commack Wedding Center in the past (with bridesmaid dresses). If you had felt so strongly at the time that the dress was too short, you should have refused to pay for it. I would have stood there and screamed until I got my way. They have one seamstress who is absolutely terrible. If you leave with the dress and sign the receipt, then legally the wedding center is not responsible. However by making what happened known to the Better Business Bureau, the news or everyone you can think of, if he has any conscience, he will do the right thing. Take the advice that everyone had left and go to another seamstress. Don't let something so minor as a hem ruin your special day. It is not worth it.
