We loved the grande so much for our honeymoon that we returned for our 2 year anniversary. The place is amazing!!!!! In my opinion the swim up room wasnt worth the money because we liked the other pools. But they look like fun.

It is - but honestly the entire week we were there we saw many 6-8 people swimming in there - over the 3 pools that were connected to the swim-up rooms. It was very secluded
We would go to the beach in the morning and come back in mid-afternoon - order some room service and hang out in the pool

Re: Sandals Grande in St. Lucia
We booked there too! I was told by many people that the swim up 'pools' for your room are shared by other rooms. Maybe 2-3 rooms per small pool. Being a lifeguard for 15 years as a second job I can't feel safe with a pool that close. (Especially when drinks run free) That's just me.Anyway, my FH's friend just went there for his honeymoon last year and loved it! But they didn't get the extras (as in room service). Plus, my SIL was a travel agent for nearly 20 years and she said she never got a complaint on a Sandals resort. She also said that the Grande has water views from every room, no matter the grade/price. We looked into all the rooms, considering I have never been anywhere on vacation. But with all the info we got from known visitors and travel agents, we decided to go with the deluxe.
Good luck to you all!

Re: Sandals Grande in St. Lucia
Thanks so much for all the input every one. Gives me stuff to think about before we book our room.Maybe the swim up room is not worth it then. If i was staying at the regency I would definitely splurge on a Private plunge pool.
I do like the idea of room service. I will be there for 9 days and would like a couple of meals brought to me.
Any one know how the room service menus are?
