Shoes

Where did you all buy your shoes?? What were the prices?? I'm guessing that bridal stores are more expensive, so anyone buy them at other shoes stores? How much did you save?? Did you always carry a swatch (sp?) from the dress to look at colors of shoes?? Thanks!

Shoes

Shoe Elegance in Lynbrook. I think the shoes were about $50. I didn't bring a swatch with my dress, and I should have, b/c I bought satin shoes that do not match my Matte Satin dress, so I now need to return them and get the Podeswa (spelling) to match. But,they were very accomodating.

Shoes

Dyeing for your in Lindenhurst is great too. They have shoes you can buy and bring back or if you have your swatch they will just dye them after you pay and you will have them in a few days. They don't charge extra for dyeing and they dye to match, not matching your swatch to theres. They also give you an option of indoor or outdoor lighting, since that makes somewhat of a difference in coloring if the sun hits your shoes! Also, they will dye the shoes black up to 2 weeks after you affair so you can wear them again! There a small shop, all dyable shoes they are right off sunrise Hwy.. Laurie:) Ps. they also have the ability to stretch shoes and have tons of padding to add. I actually have to head over there soon!

Sandy`s Shoes

They have a very nice selection of shoes, and the sales people are very nice, and patient too! I think I tried on every low-heeled pump in various sizes to get the perfect fitting shoe .. and Louise was super nice .. even remembered which ones I had already tried while helping a few other customers! All the girls, including my mother, got their shoes there and had them died to match their swatch. To save time, because everyone had final fittings at different times, I brought each of the swatches in 1 week prior to bringing in the shoes, and they made up the dyes in advance. I also purchased little handbags for my matron of honor and bridesmaid. I also had them add an applique to my shoes, and they turned out beautiful. I definitely recommend taking a look here. DSW Shoe Warehouse!

I got a pair of $120 Ken Coles for $30! My gown is ivory so I got ivory shoes. I don't like dyeables so it was perfect. DSW ususally has a nice selection - Kenneth Cole, Nina, Dyeables. And they even had Vera Wangs for 1/2 price (but still over $200!)

Kraft Shoes in Commack

I got my shoes there bc I couldnt get my dress ordered without my shoes and bra/slip. They were really nice there and had a lot of shoes to choose from.I think they were $50. I went for more comfort than style for the shoes. Who is gonna see them??? So I went for shoes that I could wear all day!

Shoes

I have less than 4 months to go, but my dress will be in next week, and then I will start fitting, which I heard you should have the exact shoes that you are going to wear for. But, since I do not have a swatch, I first have to have the seamstress cut a piece off, then look for shoes to match, and then go back with the shoes.

Shoes

I agree it was very far in advance for me to get shoes, but I had to order my dress, which had a hallow-to-hem measurement, so I had to have the shoes I would wear with the dress. They are now in a box sitting in my closet at my mothers house.I hope they stay clean!
