If I sell it I will get most of my money back, it is a Amalia Carrara dress. The color is champagne gold I dont think if I have a child she might like that color. I was thinking about selling it to a wedding salon or ebay
Being that you said you 'forced' mom into buying it....it's sort of like a promise you made to her.
Sell it back - no need to cause hostility between you and your mom over something you'll never wear again.
I know you have sentimental feelings towards it (obviously) but practicality kicks in when it's someone else who purchased it for you.
i have to agree

Re: SHOULD I SELL MY WEDDING DRESS ?
My mom dosent want the money back, she just thinks it makes no sense to have a dress that cost so much, so I promised her I would sell it. She condiders it as a wedding gift.

so sell it and re-coup some of the money for yourself...
it's a promise that you made...that's worth more to your mother than the dress.

Re: SHOULD I SELL MY WEDDING DRESS ?
my aunt paid a great deal of money to have her dress cleaned and preserved. a few years later on a whim she decided to break the air tight seal and open the box - guess what! The dress was neither cleaned or preserved!!! and since had started to yellow, was stained permanently, and she couldnt get her money back.just something to think about.

Re: SHOULD I SELL MY WEDDING DRESS ?
Why don't you wait to decide until you are married? YOur feelings will definitely change once you've worn it and everything is over.....and you said you forced your mom to buy it promising you'd sell it, so you should keep your word to your mom, gift or no gift.

Re: SHOULD I SELL MY WEDDING DRESS ?
i say sell it as well. let someone else love it as much as you do!! you'll never be able to wear it again - and something that beautiful trapped in a box for the next 20 yrs is a sin.
