Simply Elegant

I'm beginning to look for wedding florists. Has anyone heard of or used Simply Elegant in Glen Head? I'd appreciate any comments good or bad. Thanks!

Like Arielle, we're paying for the wedding ourselves, too...and I will not compromise on pictures. (In fact, my fiance thought I was crazy for giving up a limo in order to have better pictures!)

Does anyone know of a person that does both hair and make-up? And that will come to me.

colleen i checked out simply elegant a few months ago.....i thought they were not as "complete" as other florists...and were overpriced as compared to 6 other florists......all decorators......i also found their ideas very limited....not too creative.......but the real news is that my friend had used them because her caterer pushed them to her.....well her bridal bouquet fell apart as she walked down the aisle....and if that wasn't embarrassing enough, they forgot to decorate the pews in the church......at the catering hall they never decorated the cake.....when she called them after the wedding they blammed my friend.....wouldn't even talk to her.....and about the cake....simply elegant blammed the fox hollow for not doing the cake...i knew they weren't that well known...now i know why....be careful......there are many other florists out there and alot of them are good.....try cress in smithtown...or jack & rose in woodbury...or stefan's in cedarhurst..i've heard nothing but good things about these three florists.....

Well Ladies Saturday is my big day!! Wish me luck!! I just wanted to thank everyone here for a great nine months of planning. My BIG DAY has finally arrived and with you help, advise and tips I am sure that it will go off without a hitch. I will be back after my honeymoon to tell you all how it went! I will try to pop in on the board tomorrow, to let you know how thing are going. I picked up my dress today, and most of my out of town guests have arrived. Tomorrow I will just relax and wait for the rehearsal. Only 34hours left!!

i heard they were terrible!!!!!don't waste your time.....2 of my sorority sisters tried them because fox hollow pushes them and westbury manor the same.....but noone uses them....they're just either rude or nicely unprofessional.....i guess its true to say that they just don't give you that good feeling that they will deliver what you what ....even they couldn't put their finger on it ...but without the fox hollow and westbury pushing them how would they be in business....

I got a price quote fron James Cress that was simply outrageous! He wouldn't even meet with us personally, we met with an assistant. My Aunt only uses him exclusively. I have to say some of his pieces(that I have received personally) have been off like any other place :)
