Re: Small Wedding Brides

Posted by nferrandi

My BIL is having a small wedding in June. They're having it at Snuff Mill at the Botanical Gardens. I don't know what they had to guarantee, but I believe the space can only hold a MAX of 110.

We got married at the Snuff Mill. It is a beautiful site!!!! We had 73 ppl. (including us) at the wedding. We had to do a Friday night because the min. was 70ppl. on Sat. it is 90ppl. The room max is 120ppl., but I think that would be awfully tight.

Re: Small Wedding Brides

Mine is REALLY small--we're inviting around 70, but realistically, we'll probably just top 50. We must guarantee 45 at Milleridge Inn (one of the rooms in the Inn itself, not the carriage house or cottage).

Re: Small Wedding Brides

I don't know if my wedding is 'small' but we're inviting about 130 people. The minimum guarantee for a Sat night at Glen Island is only 125, which is a big reason why we booked them.

We loved a lot of the halls on LI, but we didn't want a HUGE wedding with lots of people we didn't know (we both have small families) and most of the places want at least 185 people on a Saturday. Hope this helps!

Re: Small Wedding Brides

We're getting married at the Watermill. Their smallest room must guarantee 50 with the max of 80. We are inviting 78 and I'm sure at least 10 of them will decline. I absolutely love the Watermill. They have made my planning so easy without stress. Samantha is a doll !! She's the personal wedding planner there. They do everything for you. The room is nice too, it have lots of windows that overlook their waterfall and garden, which is great for a day wedding, and a fireplace that the bride and groom sit in front of. Very cozy for a small wedding. I cannot wait for my wedding!! 3 months from today

Re: Small Wedding Brides

I had 70 at the George Washington Manor (Presidential Room). My minimum was 75, but I didn't sweat it. We invited about 130, but DH is from the midwest and most of his relatives did not come out for the wedding. We were really happy with everything about our hall.

Re: Small Wedding Brides

Hi,
We are inviting about 65 but know only about 50 will possibly come. Our minimum guaranteed is 40. I seem to be one of the smallest weddings so far! We are having it at the Swan Club in the After Deck room and thought it was a perfect space for a small wedding. Still haven't had the food though

Re: Small Wedding Brides

We are having 42 people, just close friends and family. Our room holds 60 max, so we will have plenty of room. We are getting married at the George Washington Manor in the Bryant Room. They have other rooms as well with higher and lower min.

Re: Small Wedding Brides

We had about 130 at Coral house and I guess for LI that is still small. It was perfect and there was so much food. ANd the price was reasonable for a Sat night in peak wedding season

Just remember your wedding will be perfect no matter what size

Re: Small Wedding Brides

Our guest list is around 124 right now so we will have 90-100 people. Haven't booked yet because it has been hard to find a place on sat night that caters to smaller weddings and will only host 1 wedding at a time.

Re: Small Wedding Brides

Thank you all for the information!

We're going to begin to look at places in May. (First we have to figure out where the heck to go on vacation in the end of April!)

In the meantime, I'm going to check out the places you all mentioned using the Internet.
Thanks again! Keep them coming!
