Re: So, how much weight would like to lose for your wedding and what are you doing to get there?
I want to lose around 5-10 more pounds, 3 months to do it. I'm out of season for running and when I'm not in season, I gain weight because I'm not running 50+ miles per week. I will be in season soon and the weight should start to come off. But I'm not so concerned about the actual numbers as long as I look good in my dress.

I would like to lose 10 lbs...but I can't stop eating!! I have gotten myself back into the gym at least 3 times a week and I've also gone running (only 2 miles) a couple of times too! I don't know what is wrong with me- I can't stick to anything.

I want to tone and lose 5 lbs. I have 80 days and I haven't done anything yet! School's over on the 23rd and I'm not working this summer, so I'd better do something-guess I'll spend a lot of time doing yoga and walking...and maybe some pilates. I'd like to lose this before the shower in June though

I just want to tone my butt and legs. I use to be a serious ballet dancer and had such toned legs-now that i've stopped they turned into jiggly mush

Annie,If you're 5'6' and 132, if you lose 20 lbs. you will look like hell. That's underweight. Your eyes will sag and your face will be gaunt. Talk to your doctor about a healthy weight (which you are right now). Maybe you could use weights to tone, but losing 20 lbs would make you anorexic. A healthy weight range for 5'6' is 118-155 and 118 would be only if you were very small boned without any real muscle.
As you can see, your are perfectly in the middle of a healthy weight range for yourself....

Re: So, how much weight would like to lose for your wedding and what are you doing to get there?
julybride444 - I agree with you about Annieb. She doesn't need to lose weight (maybe a few pounds if she has a small frame). She just needs to lose FAT.Annieb - do some weight training and work on cleaning up your diet. I'm 5'6' and 120 lbs. If I were any thinner I'd be see-through. (I have low body-fat and a good amount of muscle).
Girls - don't worry so much about what the scale says. It'll only stress you out. It's too hard to figure out what your 'ideal' weight is anyway. Get your body fat measured and work on a reaching a target percentage instead.

Re: So, how much weight would like to lose for your wedding and what are you doing to get there?
i'd like to lose about 13 pounds by the wedding, in four months. about a month ago i started really watching what i eat and cutting back on calories. i still eat whatever i want, just less. i've lost about 2 pounds so far. not great results, but i know if i try to cut out specific foods or say no fat i'll go crazy. i think if i start exercising that will help some. i go running usually once a week, but i need to up that to 3 times a week and do my abs, thighs and buns of steel tapes on the opposite days. if i can't lose 13 pounds, i'd at the very least like to fit into the pants that i wore last summer and tone up my thighs and arms. arghhh......

i would like to lose another 5 pounds. But I've been measuring myself and would like to lose another 3/4 inch in my waist and inches in my thighs. I've been trying to go to the gym 4-5 times a week and run, lift weights, and take abs classes. I'll also be signing up for boxing lessons. I can't wait!

now that I bought my gown I realized I have to lose at least 5 pounds to make it fit right but I really want to build muscle tone. I have a year to do it in but I'm afraid I'll go down and then up again by next year!
