Re: Song for Brother Sister Dance (father passed away)

My father did not pass but I'm just thinking about the Luther V song...my cousin just lost her father a month ago and she was playing it on repeat the other night balling on her living room floor.

It's a beautiful song...but soooo very sad.

What about...'Anytime you need a friend' by Mariah Carey

Re: Song for Brother Sister Dance (father passed away)

these are all great songs. i can't think of any other to suggest, everyone did a great job of that!

my father passed away almost 2 years ago and i've thought about dancing to one of these songs with my mom, but i think we'll both get too upset and i don't want that. i'm dancing with my mom to possibly ain't no mountain high enough. it's always been 'our song'. it might be alittle fast though. i haven't fully decided. originally i decided not to do the parent dances and FH was fine with it, but i've heard it through the grapevine that FMIL isn't. So since my mom is ok with dancing right now, and actually felt bad for FMIL, we decided to do it. sorry for the ramble!
