i will be there. i cant wait. that is the best part. plus i can get a lot of my hello's out of the way and enjoy the reception more.
I agree with this - I was even thinking of possibly having the DJ do a little annoucement when we walk into the CH(just for me and FH - not the BP) and then the big one for the reception

i agree, that's what we are doing! we want to dance as much as possible so if we mingle at the CH and eat something there-- then we can dance all night at the reception!!

Originally I didn't want to attend the cocktail hour because I wanted the 'grand entrance' as well but after talking to a couple of past brides they said that they are so glad that they went to their cocktail hours because they got so many hello's out of the way.
I'm having about 300 ppl. at my wedding so I would rather say all the hellos during the cocktail hour opposed to when the band is playing and I want to dance.
i agree, i am going to try to make it to the CH to say hi to everyone, now the question, if you say your hellos during the CH, do you have to make another round to the tables? Would it be rude not to go to the tables?

Was dead set against going to the Cocktail hour, but that's my favorite part of the wedding. I am also hiring a steel band for the CH, I am so not missing it.

I REALLY want to go to my cocktail hour, but logisitcally, I don't think it will work. my Mass ends at 12:15 and the cocktail hour starts at 1:00, about 20 minutes away and we still need to take pictures!!!! I will make as much of it as I can, if at all possible, otherwise, I will make the grand entrance.

I am attending the last few minutes of it. i agree with Carole, I can get the hellos out of the way and dance the night away at the reception. I also wanna eat the food even though they bring it to the room.Welcome New Vendors
