Survey: What Are Your Most Hated Errands

I hate hate hate going to the post office. 25 windows and only 7 are open at lunch hour when every New Yorker is waiting on line with me. I have to go now and I'm just putting it off for as long as I possibly can.

Dry cleaner...he is great, but I have to have a whole lengthy discussion everytime I'm in there. Granted I give them a ton of business and they take great care of our stuff and give us great prices, but sometimes I don't want to make it a social call.

Next would be getting gas..most of the time I'm self serving..yuck.

Yeah, post office is pretty crappy too, but not as bad.

The bank and post office...Both have really long lines and are only open when I'm at work.

Maybe the grocery too, because it's always crowded and people leave carts in the middle of aisles.

Sounds like my bank, even when I just need to make a stinking little deposit.

I hate grocery shopping -- I never know what I need and I seem to always forget something (even with my list)

I hate going to get gas (is that an errand?) - especially when it is cold out!

I hate getting my oil changed - it is just annoying to me. Plus Jiffy Lube messed it up last time and my oil leaked everywhere and I had to take it to VW to get it fixed (VW says I should always take it there, but they are $$$ and they are SLOWWW!)

bank - my bank tellers are sooooo incredibly slow...it's like they have a secret contest with each other to see who can have the most attitude in conjunction with being the least efficient.

i hate dropping things off at the dry cleaners..i had stuff in my car from october...just sitting in a bag in my car....do you know when i dropped them off? Friday! it only took 5 months for me to go!

picking up/filling my pill! I don't know why...I hate pharmacy errands! And the freaking thing is so expensive....but worth it I guess to not get preggos.

OMG!!!! Totally me for gas & dry cleaners!!! If DH read your post he would have thought that was me... HATE IT!

especailly since moving abck to LI- living in the city was so much easier

dropped off the dry cleaning on way to work- delivered back to building

no gas

bank- on the way to work-

RX- stopped in in the morning- picked up on way home

everything on LI is such a chore!

Oil change... I HATE IT!

I too hate going to the post office...takes so long and is out of my way!

i hate goin to the dry cleaner too - i like the owners and everything but the only time i get the chance to go is before i head to work in the morning which means i have to wake up extra early, get ready earlier etc
