a small gift, like a picture frame, so when she gets a wedding picture it can go in there...

I would get her something. We are paying for our whole wedding but will be getting something for our parents anyway. It's a nice gesture in my opinion.

Yes, you should give her something. It's the thought that counts. Who knows, maybe she is waiting for your wedding day to give you a nice gif$$.

Re: Tacky question....but I still have to ask it
I am in the exact situation. JT and I are sending my parents to Italy as their gift, we are giving her an embroidered hankie. As beotchy as I feel doing this, she has no want or interest in contributing to our wedding and she has told me that she will spend no more than 200 dollars on the day of our wedding and that she will be 'extremely uncomfortable' that day, so why should she contribute. ARGH! Ok, sorry for the vent.

My FIL's arent contributing anything and I am not getting them anything. The only thing FI and I are giving them is a folio of wedding pics (not an album). That's only to keep peace. My mom contributed what she could, so she is getting a little something besides her pics.Welcome New Vendors
