Re: Temple Beth El

If you are talking about the one in Cedarhurst, the prices were decent. I went to a wedding there. It's a beautiful place, wonderful for a big wedding.

Re: Temple Beth El

Temple Beth-el in Cedarhurst was beautiful, however we ended up at East Meadow Jewish Center..they really took care of us. Their sister temple is Oceanside Jewish Center.

The same caterers are also in Temple Chaverim in Plainview.

All great places. I found EJMC more reasonable than most. Good luck with the planning!

Re: Temple Beth El

is there more than one? I belong to the one in Huntington, I grew up there... we're not being married there as we're interfaith (so we're getting married at the hall) but it's a lovely synogogue and the people there are wonderful.

Just out of curiousity, what are their prices like? I'd imagine they'd be a little expensive, considering the location...

Actually, that's pretty reasonable.

Re: Temple Beth El

Temples tend to be much cheaper in the winter. But you should also know that if your caterer is GLATT, you may have to pay a fee for the Mashgiach who supervises and makes sure things are what they are supposed to be.

Re: Temple Beth El

Hey,
I got married there in June, and absolutely loved it, don't have anything bad to say. The prices were reasonable, but 90-95 per person seems a bit low, we got married on a Sunday twighlight which is the same price as a Sat night, and the prices were a big higher. They work with you amazingly, and are just really nice people. They don't strong arm you into using a house florist, the food was great for kosher food, and the place is just breathtaking!!!
Let me know if you have any other questions.

thx-
Jen

Great! Bob is very easy to work with and many vendors also like working at the venue also.

Good luck!
