The Good:
I'll be cliche as well -- my wedding was wonderful!
I also loved our honeymoon, our recent trip to Mexico, and just day to day living. DH's brother got married, and I have become closer with my new sister-in-law, which is also really good. My best friend had a beautiful baby girl. My nephew turned one.

The Bad:
My dad passed away in 2007, not 2008, but his loss was still felt a lot this year. My SIL lost her father one month before the wedding, which was awful. I honestly don't know how she was able to get through everything and be so happy and radiant at her wedding. The human spirit is amazing.

The ugly:
My fat stomach, *** and thighs!
I gained soo much weight way before the wedding, took it off in 6 weeks before the wedding, and put it all back within 6 weeks after the wedding.
BUT, I lost 4 lbs this past week, while on vacation - amazing!

The Good: Wedding and honeymoon of course. The bbq party the inlaws had for us when we got back from out honeymoon. Getting our puppy.

The Bad: My FIL passing away suddenly a few weeks ago. All we can think is thank goodness we got married when we did and didn't wait another year. We can't wait to get this year over with. A lot of good things happened but this one thing made it horrible.

The Ugly: Can't think of any.

The bad: my best friend's dad dying


The ugly: the way my tush jiggles after the post wedding flubber..back on track now thank goodness

Happy New Year ladies, we will miss 08 but 09 is another year to create memories and to enjoy every second with our DH's (yes, all 08'ers have them) family and friends.


My Good - Buying our first home together, our wedding, my oldest brother's wedding, another brother's engagement, my twin sister finding love, our wedding, our new puppy Minnie, continued health of our family, a very successful year at work!

My BAD - wedding planning drama (inter-family), marrying my best friend without my father there, mortgage issues which almost caused me several nervous breakdowns, not loosing weight as I had planned before the wedding.

My UGLY - wedding vendor let-downs, family drama

The Good....We got married (another cliche lol) and had a beautiful wedding and wonderful HM

The Bad....Some friends of ours really showed their true colors during our wedding planning and afterwards

The Ugly...Can't think of anything right now but I'm sure there was something lol...oh yea, the kitchen before we updated it haha. Kitchen cabinets were the original ones (circa 1960) as well as the floor...

I remember telling DH on Jan. 1, 2008 that we're getting married this year! I can't believe how fast time flew!

The Good: Enjoying every moment of this time of my life. I started my life with my best friend. We bought a house, got married and now have a puppy

The Bad: Dealing with nonsense from DH's family because his cousin decided to get married the month after us.

The Ugly: My fat a$$ It wasn't pretty before and it's not any better now! Now that I have more time (not wedding planning) I can focus on my workouts!

the bad...the storm the next day that left my mom on the LIRR forever and my guests tied up at the airport for 8 hours

the ugly...the stock market tanking while we were on our honeymoon

the good: our wedding day of course!!! we were both so calm and relaxing that it made the day that much more special

the bad: my mom being diagnosed with lung cancer in may and her battling it ever since. it was a blessing just to have her at the wedding

the ugly: ugh... PETTY PETTY PETTY people. nuff said!

the good: everything finally coming together for our wedding, the long awaited honeymoon...dh switching companies and doing well.

the bad: the economy because it makes everything difficult and not being able to find a good job to replace my old one. a townhouse we loved = bad foundation so we have to start our search all over.

the ugly: one of my friends calling off her wedding. fake vs. geniune interest and seeing who came through and who didn't.

DH tore his ACL at work and is out on disability

Buying our first home....as great as it is it's also SCARY
Also...For 2009 I hope to reconnect with family that I hold so dear to my life..

The Good:
Planning my wedding was so great! I miss it! The stress, I hated, but that comes with it. The wedding stress, I dealt with pretty good! Every day was just another excitement for me because I did something for my wedding!

Seeing my DH well up with tears as I walked down the isle. I was so excited to see him after not seeing him all night I just wanted to run up the isle and hug him! My wedding was beautiful, it was like a fairy tale. It was the wedding of my dreams! It was a very special, emotional day for both DH and me. We still talk about the butterflies we both had that morning!

The Bad:

One week before my wedding I was on the verge of a nervous break down. I was forced to quit my job because my boss was a total biotch! We had a fire at my moms house (DH and I were living there at the time) and my 2 brothers were in the hospital for smoke inhalation. Thank god they were both fine, but they were coughing up black for days after. Not to mention, we were having RD there 5 days later! I didn't even care, I was just so upset about my brothers. I quit my job because my boss told me that if I went to the hospital with my brothers and I didn't show up, I'm fired. I told her, too late, I quit!

Oh and the week before that, my mother (my MOH) was in the hospital for a sever kindey infection. The doc said one more day and she would have died from kidney failure! I was a wreck the whole 2 weeks before!

The Ugly: ME! I don't know what it is, but I gained about 30 lbs since my wedding!! Before the wedding, I was working out and eating healthy. I decided to just eat what I wanted on my HM and I haven't stopped since! The change in diet made me gain really quick! DH says he can't see it, but I went from 120 to 149 so I know! It's not bad, I just want to get back to were I was before DH and I have kids. I'm not saying I'm over weight, but I just feel it from the lbs. I put on. Now that I'm used to eating like a cow, I am hungry all the time

The good: Marrying the love of my life, and having his precious son <33 I wouldn't trade those 2 days for anything else in life

The bad: I was sick alot through my pregnancy, so I wish I was able to enjoy that more, but I learned how amazing the hubby is for helping with EVERYTHING

The ugly: DH's father, I'll just leave it at that, because that man really isn't worth mentioning..;.

This has been an amazing year for us, and I can't wait for more to come

The Good:
Having such a memorable and truly amazing wedding day! and loving the feeling of having our whole lives to spend together and explore all that life has to offer. And especially having everyone that means the world to me being able to make it to the wedding (esp. my grandparents)

Having old friends move down south so now we are closer :)
House hunting


The Bad:
My florist and that 'evil' lady making me angry even if it was for a couple minutes on my wedding day.

My father being in the hospital the week of Christmas including Christmas eve and night but finally being released before NYE.

The ugly:
I lost 2 friends over petty things during the wedding process- you really do find out who your true friends are. Those are the ones that can stand by you and not judge you and not be jealous and say and do mean and hurtful things during the most joyous moments in your life.

And I have to agree with the NW extra lbs.

The Bad: Economy has gone to ****.,lost some money there....cant really make moves in the industry.
The Ugly: Yea talk about gaining weight at marriage! I packed on a solid 15.

The good: Our wedding and honeymoon...moving into our new place.

The bad: hmmm...saving for a house and being frustrated at the cost of them.

The ugly: Dh's family have a fist fight at my rehearsal dinner and then showing up to the wedding as if nothing had happened with no appology. Gotta love it.

The Good: knowing that through all the stress, drama, and the uglies of life....DH and I love and support each other unconditionally. i truly married my best friend. it's as good as life can get

The Bad: FAMILY DRAMA. on all sides. everywhere we looked there was a person with another problem

The Ugly: ever since we returned from our HM it's been a rollercoaster of family issues. we stand by eachother and hold eachother's hand through it but the last few months of 2008 were emotionally taxing on us. it just makes us appreciate the good all the more.

The Good...I had spine surgery in Jan 2008 and have fully recovered and was able to dance at our wedding. DH was amazingly supportive throughout the entire process, not the wedding planning process but the process of going from being perfectly healthy to hunched over and using a cane, undergoing surgery and then recovering for the next couple of months...that's love!

The Bad...$ was tight in 2008 and will continue to be so in 2009 (unless we hit the lottery), and we need to start looking for a place of our own soon...wish us luck!

The Ugly...We attended 3 wakes in 2 months (luckily for us they were distant relatives or friends of the family), which was not fun especially since 2 of the wakes were less a month from our wedding and we hated being given congratulations and best wishes from the deceased's family in their time of grief.
